MS, Multiple Sclerosis, is an autoimmune disorder, most common in patients ages 20 and 40, that damages nerve cells and can cause a variety of cognitive and physical limitations as a result. Researchers are exploring new methods of possibly preventing or treating the disease.Several studies have been exploring the connection between levels of Vitamin D and signature brain lesions of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), as measured by MRI images.
One of them by John's Hopkins School of Medicine took place over five years, with nearly 500 patients with MS.
